PTFA - What we do

Understanding the PTFA's Role

The PTFA (Parents, Teachers, Friends Association) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience at our school. This dynamic group, consisting of parents, teachers, and friends of the school, dedicates its efforts to organizing various events aimed at fundraising for the betterment of our school community.

As a recognized charity with an impartial stance, the PTFA is managed by a committee of dedicated officers including the Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. These positions are democratically elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), ensuring a fresh and enthusiastic approach each year.

Membership in the PTFA is open to all parents and carers of students, who are encouraged to be active participants. By attending meetings and engaging in the decision-making process, members contribute valuable insights and ideas.

The success of the PTFA hinges on the voluntary contributions and enthusiasm of parents, carers, and teachers. Our year-round events not only foster a strong community spirit but also generate vital funds that are directly invested in the school. These contributions have a direct and positive impact on our students and support our dedicated teaching staff in providing an enriching educational environment.

Your Time Commitment to the PTFA

Participating in the PTFA doesn't require a substantial time commitment, making it manageable for busy parents and carers. The PTFA holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) once a year, alongside approximately four additional meetings spread throughout the academic year. These meetings are conveniently scheduled on weekdays during term time.

During these gatherings, members collaborate to plan upcoming events, brainstorm new fundraising ideas, and make important decisions regarding the allocation of funds raised. These meetings are integral to the PTFA's operations, providing a platform for members to actively contribute to the school's continual improvement. Your involvement, whether in attending these meetings or volunteering at events, is invaluable and directly contributes to enhancing our school community.
